Trials in the narrow and broad comps were raced off on the Charles yesterday afternoon on smooth water in perfect conditions. The finals will be held on Friday.
John heard '39 and J. F. Meigs Jr. '40 won their respective heats in the narrow comp, and Morgan Preston '39 and Arthur B. Glidden '40, who took second places, also qualified for the finals.
R. F. Farwell '40 and E. O'Gorman IL won the heats in the broad comp, with William Pennebaker '40 and William Tellington '40 also earning finals places.
It was also announced that the singles races planned for Saturday with Yale at Derby had been cancelled.
