William Y. Elliott, professor of Government, will be 41 on Wednesday, May 12; Roger B. Merriman '96, Gurney Professor of History and Political Science, 61 on Monday, May 24; Lawrence J. Henderson '98, Abbott and James Lawrence Professor of Chemistry, 59 on June 3 and Robert S. Hillyer '17, associate professor of English, 42 the same day.
On June 13, George H. Chase '96, dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, is 63. Nine days later Kenneth B. Murdock '16, professor of English numbers his forty-second summer. July 4 patriotically belongs to Alfred M. Tozzer '00, professor of Anthropology, 60 this year.
