Approximately 200 students form preparatory and high schools in the vicinity of Cambridge gathered here on Saturday to take examinations newly instituted as a prerequisite to scholarship applications submitted to any of the larger eastern universities.
Similar tests were held at Yale. Dartmouth, etc., for applicants in their respective districts.
The students were the guests of the Union Committee, whose members showed them around the college. They had lunch at the Union, spending morning and afternoon in the examination halls.
