NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Witnessed by a large number of people, James F. Keane, a Chicago insurance man, leaped to his death from the Weeks Memorial Bridge at 1:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The death was declared a suicide by a medical examiner.

Immediately after the jump, the bridge and both banks of the river became crowded. A fire engine, with pulmotor apparatus was summoned to the scene. After 20 minutes of grappling of two policemen in a rowboat the body was recovered.

The corpse was taken to an ambulance waiting on the bank and taken to the morgue, where it was later identified by G. F. Crisp, an officer of the insurance company.
