"We are very advanced. Labor in Poland is entirely organized in unions", Count George Potocki, Polish Ambassador to the United States declared yesterday at a press conference in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, before lunching with President Conant and making a tour of the University in the afternoon.
Outlining the progress of the Polish government, the Count continued, "Organization of labor is on a nationalistic and in some cases socialistic basis, but it is not international. Also social security legislation has been in effect for several years."
When questioned concerning his country's relations with Germany and Russia, Potocki said "The country must remain independent, turning neither right or left. I don't think we have taken over anything from Germany or Russia in arranging our country."
