MITCHELL PRUNES BALL SQUAD TO TWENTY-FIVE

Five Outfielders, Four Catchers, Ten Pitchers, and Six Infielders Survive Second Cut

Twenty-five players remained on the Varsity baseball squad after Coach Fred Mitchell made his second cut at the end of last week.

Ten pitchers kept are: Edmund F. Ingalls '38, Richard M. Walsh, Jr. '37, Donald Prouty '39, Harold M. Curtiss, Jr. '39, Royall Victor '37, Harold N. Edinberg '39, Proctor H. Avon '37, Clarence E. Boston, Jr. '39, Charles G. Houghton, Jr. '39 and Philip N. Ross '38.

The four catchers are: Alfred H. Colwell '38, Paul K. Doyle '38, Philip C. Staples, ocC, and Elliott C. Bacon '39.

Six infielders retained are: Captain Thomas H. Bilodeau '37, Arthur L. Johns '39, Frank J. Owen '37, Herbert G. Regan '37, David W. Shean, Jr. '38, and John J. Sullivan '38.

Five outfielders still on the squad are: Joseph B. Soltz '39, Malcolm B. McTernen '37, David B. MacIntosh '37, Robert T. Gannett 2d '39, and Richard O. Ulin '38.

More candidates are expected soon from these now completing their winter sports.
