Henry Chauncey '27, assistant Dean of the College will leave today on a tour of Louisiana, New Mexico, and Southern California to interview prospective candidates for the National Fellowships, and to see various high school principals.

Former assistant Dean Wilbur J. Bender '27, who is on the faculty of Phillips Academy, Andover, is doing the same work in Washington, Oregon, and Northern California. Both men expect to return before May.

The five states in which the Deans are explaining the scholarship plans are those recently included in the scope of the National Scholarships. At least six of the scholarships will be offered this year to incoming Freshmen residing in the five newly considered states, and ten or more will be offered to members of the Class of 1941 from those states already included in the Prize Fellowship area.
