With a record of 12 wins and four losses, the Yardling five will encounter the Yale Freshman at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at the Indoor Athletic Building. On the same floor at 3:45 o'clock, the Jayvees will face a strong Eli Junior Varsity.
Coach Adolph Samborski will start his usual Freshman team, with Captain Charlie Lutz and Chet Legg at the forward positions, Sam White at center, and Bill Cordingley and Al Maguire, guards, Lee Bird, lanky center and forward, is expected to see considerable service, filling in for White or Legg.
Coming from the great basketball state of Indiana, Captain Charlie Lutz, leads the team's scoring with 168 points, while Chet Legg, who played at Exeter last year, is second with 144 tallies in the 16 games played to date.
Although the Yardling hoopsters have played raggedly in the last two games, Northeastern and Dean, their showing in Thursday practice was highly encouraging. With the exception of Chet Legg, whose ankles are slowing him up, the team is in top physical condition.
At the peak of the season the Crimson crushed an Exeter quintet, 46 to 32, and the latter team nosed out the Elis by two points. By reason of these games, the Crimson five will be slightly favored
