Bowdoin Defeats Rifle Team by Mark of 1278-1276 Saturday

Shooting shoulder to shoulder in a New England Intercollegiate Postal League match, the University rifle club's representatives were nudged out at Bowdoin Saturday 1278 to 1276. The match was not decided until the last man had shot.

High scorer of the rifle bout was Elkan Turk, Jr. '39, who made 270 out of 300. Others of the five Crimson musketeers who counted were Parkman D. Howe, Jr. '39, Malcolm S. M. Watts, Jr. '38, John J. Whoriskey, Jr. '38, and Harry A. Freiberg, Jr. '39.
