NEW HAVEN, Feb. 26--The Yale skaters after a singularly unsuccessful season approach the first Harvard game tomorrow with considerable trepidation. The Elis have won but two league games, taking Dartmouth in an overtime game 5-4 and Princeton 5-3. They dropped the return games with each of these teams, however, and never came very close to beating any of the Canadian teams.
Monday night before a capacity crowd of alumni and undergraduates the Blue played a fast game with the Tiger sextet, but the goals of Bill Platt and Dud Humphrey were not enough to hold the revengeful Princetonians.
The Yale lineup has seen considerable shifting throughout the season because of continual sickness among the players. For the last few games it has been the same each time. The first line consists of Captain Bill Moore at center flanked by Danny Badger and Clint Childs. The second line features the famed Humphrey combination, which has accounted for most of the Eli scores throughout the season.
The defensemen are Smitty Jackson and Bill Platt, rugged center of the grid team.
