Under the auspices of the Harvard Memorial Society, undergraduate organization dedicated to the preservation of traditions and history of the University, Albert Bushnell Hart '80, Eaton Professor of the Science of Government, emeritus, will address the Class of 1941 in the Union on "Recollections of Old Harvard" Friday night.
Professor Hart served from 1923-31 as chairman of the board of Current History Associates. Author of "Monroe Doctrine" and "Southern South", he edited the "Source Book of American History."
Last spring the 1940 Union Committee appointed a sub-committee, headed by Philip C. Neal '40, to infuse new life into the then flagging organization. In an attempt to revive interest, upper-class officers resigned in favor of Freshmen, but remained active in an advisory capacity. Neal heads the society this year.
