Freshman debaters last night argued the question, "Resolved: That there should be federal legislation providing for maximum hours and minimum wages for industrial labor" at an open meeting in the Union.

Taking the affirmative in the non-decision debate were John W. Houghin, Jr. '41 and Denis A. Baumhover '41, while Stephen H. Grant '41 and Robert T. Metzner '41 spoke on the negative side. There was no decision; cross-questioning and discussion from the small audience followed the formal debate.
