Because of its 13-6 upset victory over Yale, the Crimson football team was yesterday afternoon awarded the Grantland Rice Huskies Trophy.
Captain C. Russell Allen acted as the team's representative, receiving the award from Harry W. Black, local representative of the donors in Winthrop House. In addition to the bronze trophy, Allen was presented with an inscribed gold watch.
Every week a team is selected by the Board composed of well known sports authorities headed by Rice. By the terms of the award, it is given to the "outstanding team of the country."
