With Russ Allen making his first appearance of the season, the Varsity hockey team faces the strongest Boston University sextet in years at the Arena tonight at 8:45 o'clock.
Fresh from a 5-4 overtime defeat of Princeton last Saturday, the Terriers are out to draw their second taste of Big Three blood and promise to provide a busy evening for the Crimson. On the other hand the Stubbsmen are smarting from their defeat by the Olympics Tuesday night and will be out to redeem themselves. Greater reserve strength would seem to make Harvard the favorite in tonight's encounter.
Stubbs will be experimenting with revised second and third lines tonight which he hopes will strengthen the Crimson both offensively and defensively. Austie Harding moves from his third line center position to left wing on the second line with Joe Patrick and Ralph Pope. Win Jameson will center Pete Stone and Fred DeRham on the third.
Russ Allen was not expected to be ready for game action until after the Christmas vacation, but he has been pronounced fit for tonight's game and will resume his old post at right defense, pairing with Captain Traf Hicks. While Harvard regains the services of a valuable defense man, B.U. has lost one of their key points, Richardson, captain and star of the undefeated B.U. Freshmen last year.
