Employees Frolic At Benefit Party

Indicating a growing indifference to the A. F. of L.'s drive to unionize employees, 350 members of the recently formed Harvard Employees Mutual Benefit Association last night held what Vice-President Small designated as "A happy family party" at Brattle Hall.

There was little talk in the air of unionization issue. One high-up in the organization stated that he was perfectly satisfied with labor conditions as they stand, and desired no change. Smiling faces apparently belied talk of growing discontent in the ranks of University employees, as they danced and competed at whist and bridge prizes donated by members.

Dancing was slow getting under way, as the orchestra played for forty-five minutes to an empty floor. At nine-fifteen an unidentified and determined couple launched proceedings with an original version of the Big Apple, and in five minutes the floor was jammed.
