Eli Yale's Frank-captained eleven was headed for the Rose Bowl until they were beaten by Harvard, according to a dispatch printed in the Los Angeles Times.

"The only unhappy feature of the day from a California standpoint," says the Times, "was Yale's surprising defeat by Harvard. It has been reliably reported before to-day's game that Berkeley authorities intended to send Yale the Rose Bowl bid this evening. But the Harvards spoiled all this. . ."
