Forty needy families in Cambridge and vicinity sat down to Thanksgiving dinners supplied by Phillips Brooks House yesterday.

Headed by Bartow Kelly '40 until the election of a Freshman chairman later in the year, the P.B.H. Freshman Committee distributed the Thanksgiving baskets to families recommended by the Cambridge Welfare Association.

Other activities of the recently appointed Yardling committee will include a Christmas party for needy children, preparation of the 1938 handbook, and investigation of social conditions in Cambridge.

Baskets distributed yesterday varied from six to ten pounds according to the size of the family.
