Late Afternoon Calisthenic Class Draws Many Students

As was the custom last fall, the Hemenway Gymnasium this year is being used to carry on an extensive program of indoor athletics and calisthenics.

Under the supervision of Howard E. Cox, almost 200 Law School men are daily using the gym for basketball, handball, volley ball, wrestling, and boxing.

The Freshman basketball squad, numbering 65, also practices regularly here, and 27 other Yardlings play handball in gym classes.

Cox, director of the gymnasium, pointed out, however, that the main attraction is the calisthenic class held every afternoon from 5 to 6 o'clock. In the class Cox puts the men through the same exercises that the crew men take, and it is expected that the latter will soon report to the class.
