Coach Hal Ulen lined up a squad of 50 possible Varsity swimmers yesterday afternoon to supplement last year's Eastern Intercollegiate champions. At the same time, Freshman mentor Larry Peterson put up 60 '41 potential tidal waves through their paces.

With Dario "Block That Kick" Berizzi, Charlie Hutter, Lothrop Forbush, and Russ Greenhood back from cheorleading and Sophomore Jim Curwen returned to the fold from crow, just about all of last year's Varsity and Freshmen performers are again under Coach Ulen's supervision.

While Coach Peterson carefully scrutinized groups of Yardlings splashing back and forth on one side of the pool, Hal Ulen watched the first official workout of the season on the other side, as lettermen and non-lettermen mingled in kicking, arm-work, and short distance work.

It was announced that starting Monday, November 28, training table will be held at the Varsity Club for the squad members, and that a meeting for the squad will be called for 3 o'clock this afternoon. The first meet of the season is on December 16, when the Alumni return for a brush against their former team-mates. 11 more meets are scheduled after that.

George P. Byrne, Jr. '38, Varsity manager, said that the Sophomore managerial competition begins Monday, November 29. The winner becomes top manager in his Senior year.
