Publishers To Give Awards For Best Student Essays

Subjects Must Be Based On New Book By Donald Parson '06

Five cash awards, to be known as the Donald Parson Prizes, for the best essays on themes suggested by "Glass Flowers, Sonnets and Other Poems" by Donald Parson '06 have been offered by John W. Luco & Co., Boston, publishers of the book, it was disclosed today.

Essays which must be approximately 1000 words in length are to be judged by Robert E. Rogers '09, professor of English at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Winner of the contest will receive 5100, four runner-ups $25 each. Competition closes on December 10.
