Given Card of Merit for Performance Against Princeton Two Weeks Ago; Will Be Considered for Final 11

Vernon H. Struck '38, of Centralia, Illinois was awarded a Card of Merit issued by the All American Board of Football for his performance in the Princeton game by the Board in a letter to the CRIMSON.

The All American Board, consisting of Coaches Pop Warner of Temple, Howard M. Jones of University of Southern California, Frank Thomas of Alabama, and Bob Zuppke of Illinois and Christy Walsh, picks ten players each week for the nine weeks of the football season, and from the 90 men so selected, the final All-American eleven is selected.

The Card of Merit and a leather wallet indicating that Struck bad received an "All America" rating for his work in the Princeton game two weeks ago, were presented to him last night on behalf of the Board.
