Simboli, Johnson Score, But Jayvee Booters Bow, 4-3

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Despite flashes of almost mid-season passing, the Junior Varsity soccer team bowed to Bradford Durfee 4-3 in a ding dong opener here yesterday afternoon.

Dave Simboli and John Johnson scored goals in the second period to give the Crimson a 2-1 lead. Staging a second half push the Textiles finished in front although Johnson scored again in the third quarter.

The home team attack was considerably more polished than its defense. Only standouts defensively were Bob Gammons and Gordon Halstead at halfback.
