Music for the fun of it was the keynote of the Instrumental Clubs as they began to recruit members in Phillips Brooks House last night. The Vocal Club, the Banjo and Mandolin Clubs, the Gold Coast Orchestra, and the Specialty division, whose plans for this year include a Christmas trip, will have another evening of trials tonight.

Last year, in addition to rehearsals, the Instrumental Clubs held bi-monthly beer sangerfests in Lowell House's Tower Room. The same policy is planned for this year, in addition to a series of concerts in the Boston area, also a regular yearly feature.

Plans for a tour of concerts during Christmas vacation this year point to a Western trip ending in Chicago, or a trip through the South. The second evening of trials will take place tonight at 7:30 in Phillips Brooks House.
