For October 8 appears to be popular date for starting new college Presidents on their way, as both Yale and Williams will be swearing in their now heads as Constant speaks at Ithaca.
Yale President
At New Haven, Charles Seymour, former Provost and successor to D. James Rowland Angell, will enter his now position. At the opening of the College two weeks age, President Seymour was accorded one of the most tumultuous receptions in Yale's long and tumultuous history as Undergraduates cheered him for ten full minutes.
James Phinney Baxter, former master of Adams House and professor of American Diplomatic History here, will succeed Dr. Dennett as President of Williams, also on the same day. He was appointed to be President in the middle of the summer.
