COMPLETE CONFIDENCE MARKS PRE-GAME NAVY

POSTERS SAY "HARVARD'S DUE FOR HELLUVA FALL"

ANNAPOLIS, MD., Oct. 15--A spirit of hilarious confidence permeates Bancroft Hall Dormitory of the U. S. Naval Academy tonight on the eve of the Harvard encounter. The Midshipmen expect their team to win, and they expressed this belief by an unending series of cheers all during evening's mess.

Sailors Stand on Chairs

The band, aided by individual knife-on-plate technique featured the organized pep meeting in the dining hall before the meal, a meal during which you couldn't have heard a bomb go off. As soon as one cheer ended another would start with the class giving it standing on their chairs. The customary quiet settled after dinner but if this evenings display was a trustworthy example there will be plenty of noise from the Navy stands tomorrow.

Harvard Posters

The game is the first one away from the Academy and, as one of the seasons major events, has been keenly anticipated. Many posters heralding Harvard's arrival decorate the dormitory: "Harvard Dumpty Sat on a Ball, Harvard's Due for a Helluva Fall."
