Indoor Season Opens Against Hartford With Winmill As Captain -- Squad Has Daily Workout

Pointing toward their first match of the season against Hartford on January 23, the Varsity Indoor polo team, captained by Francis T. Winmill, Jr. '37, entered its fourth week of practice yesterday.

Champions Last Year

Last year the Crimson outfit managed to upset two favored rivals, Yale and West Point, and captured the National Intercollegiate Indoor Championship.

Winmill, Von Stade Back

Working out daily in the Common-wealth Armory are Winmill and Francis S. Von Stade '38, of last year's team Adrian H. Malone '37, and Fred Ayer, Jr. '37, members of the Junior Varsity squad Benjamin F. Dillingham '39, and William S. Rowe '39 of the Yardling squad.

J.V.'s Open Season

The Junior Varsity open their season on January 16 against the 109th Field Artillery at Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. Six men have been retained for the team.
