GEORGE SANTAYANA ARTICLE FEATURES NEW "MONTHLY"

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

For the first of a series of monthly articles by prominent men outside of the College, members of the recently revived Harvard Monthly have succeeded in getting George Santayana '86, noted philosopher and member of the original 1885-86 Monthly board, to agree to write a reminiscent article for the magazine.

In the course of the year there will be further articles by members of the original "Monthly." The second, according to present plans, will be by Gilbert Seldes '14.

The Monthly also announces a new undergraduate prize competition, closing Monday, February 15, for the best literary or critical article submitted before that date. A prize of $15.00 is offered.
