HOUSE CONTESTS WILL HAVE PAID MANAGER

EDWARD H. RIDDLE '37 HAS POST FOR COMING YEAR

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In order that House athletic contests, which have long been carried on in an atmosphere of confusion and delicious amateurism, might be run more efficiently, an experimental post of paid student intramural manager has just been created according to an announcement made yesterday by Adolph W. Samborski Director of Intramural Athletics.

The H.A.A. felt that such an undergraduate manager would serve as a much-needed link or clearing house between the various teams and committees, obviating much of the confusion over standings and schedules occurring in the past.

His duties will include collecting all scores, filing and keeping available all standings and other pertinent information such as schedules, rounding up men for physical examinations, seeing that all records are made out uniformly, delivering schedules etc. to each House, and finally acting as intramural football manager during the coming season.

The manager for 1936-37 will be Edward H. Riddle '37 of Adams House B-26.
