Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
Thirty-seven men have been retained on the Varsity football squad, and in that capacity will automatically win a minor "H" by dressing for the Yale game. Of this number, 11 are Sophomores. With the announcement of this cut, the last of the early-season preliminaries have been passed.
Yesterday's practice was light consisting chiefly of work on faults brought out in Saturday's game. Only significant change in the A team lineup was the arrival of Mal McTernan at wing-back, displacing George Roberts. The permanancy of this shift is uncertain, as both boys played good ball on Saturday. At the present standing, it looks like a neck and neck race between McTernen and Roberts all the way to the Yale Bowl.
Nesmith to Coach Yardlings
Together with the announcement of the cut, it was revealed that John Nesmith '38 will coach the Freshman backfield in place of George W. Blackwood '37, who felt he needed to spend more time on his studies. Nesmith was a back on the Varsity squad last year. He reported this fall, but had to withdraw from action after hurting an old knee injury sustained this summer falling off a horse. During spring practice of his Freshman year he won the punting contest.
