For the second year in succession, letermen of the football team had to elect a new captain to lead them, following the resignation of their choice at the close of the previous season.
This year, James J. Gaffney Jr. '37, of Danvers, Massachusetts, succeeds Emile Dubiel '37 who had to resign because of scholastic straits. Last year, Robert Haley handed in his resignation on the request of the H. A. A. Shaun Kelly was chosen as his successor.
In Jim Gaffney, the team has a leader who started every Varsity game last year, and was rarely pulled out. During the 1935 season, he played guard, but was changed to a tackle position during spring practice to bolster up this department, and will continue in this berth.
Keen Competition

In signal drill, Dick Harlow continues to look over three equally ranked elevens, trying out various combinations.
