Approximately 19 undergraduates saw the Crimson nine turn in one of its headiest ball games of the season yesterday, repelling Long Island University here 13-4 behind the seven-hit pitching of George Tittmann.

Going to bat in the fourth with the Blackbirds going strong on a 3-2 lead, Harvard turned on all its strategy. Mal McTernen, George Tittmann, and John Adzigian got lifes on three successive bunts poorly handled on the third base line.

Braman Gibbs and Frank Owen smashed out hits off rattled pitcher Norton to score three runs. From this point on the visitors' pitching and fielding faded sadly, while the Crimson gradually built up and protected a large lead, aided by defensive gems by infielders Owen, Bilodeau, and Adzigian.

James Sullivan, Tittmann, and Norton of Long Island hit home runs in the fifth, each time with nobody on base.

Tomorrow the strong Holy Cross nine comes here for a return engagement at 3 o'clock. The Purple plan to start Roy Bruninghaus against probably Ed Ingalls.
