A Doctor of Laws from William and Mary puts President Conant at the head of a list of five Faculty members who received honorary recognition at universities and colleges this week.

George Lyman Kittredge '32, Gurney Professor of English Literature Emeritus, won recognition at Union College while Elmer D. Merrill, Professor of Botany, was similarly honored by the University of California.

At Boston College honorary membership in the Alumni Association has been bestowed on Louis J. A. Mercier. Associate Professor of French, and Daniel Sargent "13, Instructor in History.
