Stephen V.N. Powelson '38 has been appointed undersecretary general for the tenth annual session of the New England Model League of Nations to be held here next spring, Tucker Dean '37, president of the League, announced yesterday.

At the same time it was revealed that Edward T. Ladd '38 has been selected chairman of the Committee on Local Arrangements. The appointments were made following consultation with the steering committee.

Powelson, who succeeds Rolf Kaltenborn '37, will be in charge of all publicity for the League next year, while Ladd will supervise arrangements for the accommodation of over 300 delegates from various New England colleges. Both appointees were members of the Harvard delegation which represented Australia at Williamstown this year.

The exact date for next year's session has been set for March 4, 5, and 6, Dean announced after consultation with Jerome D. Greene '96, secretary to the Corporation. The general assembly will convene in the New Lecture Hall, while Phillips Brooks House will be used for Committee meetings. Plans are already afoot for the attendance of a Harvard delegation of 50 men.
