CAHNERS, MILLER PICKED TO SPEAK AT TERCENTENARY

After a closely contested competition lasting ever since the Spring Vacation. Norman L. Cahners '36 and Edward O. Miller '37 were selected last night as Tercentenary Speakers.

These two will speak before the meeting of the Associated Harvard Clubs in the Tercentenary Stadium next September. Over 10,000 alumni will be present and the addresses will also be broadcast over a world-wide radio hookup.

Cahners has been a leading hammer thrower on the track team for the past three years, and will speak on athletics at Harvard, while Miller won the Lee Wade Speaking prize. He is to speak on the general topic of "Harvard Indifference."

The competition began with trials early in April, at which time 11 men were chosen for the semi-finals. In these, Cahners, Miller, Thomas Stephenson '37, and James B. Hallett '37 were kept in the competition.
