Edward L. Bassett '36 Receives Corey Grant for Philology Work

One undergraduate, three graduate students, and one instructor received travelling fellowships totaling $4,550, as follows:

Arthur Deloraine Corey Fellowship of $1100 for the study of classical philology and archaeology in Europe to Edward L. Bassett '36, of Marble-head.

Bayard Cutting Fellowship of $1300 to David H. Popper '34 for the study of government abroad. Rogers Fellowship of $1000 to Wilfred Kaplan 1G for the study of mathematics. James H. Woods Fellowship of $1000 to Joseph Neyer for the study of philosophy abroad.

Travelling scholarship of the French government of $150 for several weeks' study this summer in French libraries and archives to John A. Hamilton, instructor in Romance Languages.
