Only 28 members of the University reported for Life Saving courses yesterday as against about 125 last year this time.
Bob Muir, who with Frank Vaughn is giving the instruction, stated that probably the bad weather kept many candidates home, and that more would turn out for the next meeting.
There will be four classes a week, held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at three and four o'clock. This course is especially recommended for men thinking of doing camp work this summer.
Fifty-five Freshmen who have signed up for swimming are taking the Life Saving instruction under Muir and Vaughn. It is estimated that about two-thirds of those enrolled in the course will pass the tests.
