HANDICAP MEET OPENS TRACK SEASON FRIDAY

Definite Chance Will Be Offered to Size Up Team; All Spring Events Are Scheduled

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A definite chance to see how the track team will line up for its spring season will be given when the results of the Handicap meet come in at the end of the week. On Friday and Saturday this meet will be run off to open the spring track season.

The meet includes all the usual events of spring track, the 100 yard dash, and 110 and 220 yard hurdles, 440, 880 and mile runs, shot put, discuss, javelin and hammer, high jump, broad jump and pole vault.

Competition this year among members of the track team and among runners of other colleges will be exceptionally stiff because of the coming Olympics. Added interest will be stirred up because of the Sectional trials to be held here in the Stadium. It will not be surprising to see a large group of Harvard runners get through the sectional trials and got at least as far as the finals in New York.
