Amassing an early lead, the Winthrop House basketball team yesterday fought its way into the lead of the Inter-House league by defeating the Leverett House quintet, 20-8.

Led by D. P. Dutton '33, and C. S. Bryan '33, who together accounted for 18 of Winthrop's total score, the Puritans led at half time, 16-1.

Lowell House is the only team in a position to tie Winthrop. Should Lowell win its final league game today a play-off between Winthrop and Lowell will be held tomorrow in the New Athletic Building.
