As a result of the Student Council's investigation into the usefulness of the reading period and the question of excessive hours in laboratory courses, a questionnaire is in the process of preparation which will be ready for distribution to 600 members of the College next week.

The committee responsible for the questionnaire was appointed by the Student Council and is as follows: Leonard P. Eliel '36, Milton G. Greene '36, Francis Keppel '38, William D. Locke '36, Neil G. Melone '37, Benjamin C. Riggs '36, Henry P. Roosevelt '38, and Le Moyne White '36, chairman.

Beside the student committee there is also a faculty committee appointed from University Hall. The three men on it are: Raphael Demos, assistant professor of Philosophy and tutor in the Division of Philosophy and Psychology, William S. Ferguson, McLean Professor of Ancient and Modern History, and Jeffries Wyman '23, assistant professor of Zoology and tutor in the Division of Biology.

Distribution of the questionnaire will be evenly divided between those concentrating in the sciences and all other fields. Most of the men receiving it will be Seniors, but a selected group of Juniors and Sophomores will also be included with 50 picked Freshmen added to get all shades of College opinion.
