The Harvard Journal of Asiatic Studies, the first American magazine specifically devoted to the Far Eastern civilization, will make its first appearance in April under the editorship of three Harvard faculty members.

Serge Elisseeff, professor of Far Eastern Languages, and director of the Harvard-Yanching Institute, James R. Ware, lecturer on Chinese, and Charles S. Gardner '21, instructor in Chinese, will edit the quarterly.
