Cleats of the 1936 grid squad sunk in Soldiers Field sod yesterday afternoon, as Dick Harlow directed his men in their first outdoor practice.

Not a minute went unaccounted for, as over 50 candidates were handled with machine-like efficiency. Limbering-up exercises utilized the first part of the afternoon, followed by drilling in fundamentals under the various assistant coaches. Signal drill closed the session.
