Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
Once again the conservative element in Harvard rose to the surface in an overwhelming majority to vote in the CRIMSON-Herald Tribune poll against the bogey of currency inflation $47-68 with 15 others feeling the issue was too obvious to vote on.
Anti-New Deal sympathies have likewise been shown in every previous poll except the one where students reacted strongly in favor of the concentration of power in the Federal government. Just why this was is a mystery, for the following week college opinion strongly rejected a proposal to amend the Constitution to give the Federal government increased power.
Crimson voters mirrored the country's feeling in the February poll when they voted 55 per cent to declare void 5-4 decisions of the Supreme Court which adversely affect acts of Congress.
