OARSMEN ARE ICE-BOUND FOR ANOTHER TEN DAYS

Tank Work Continues--Thickness of Ice Will Keep Shells Off for Two Weeks or More

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In spite of the warm weather during the last week, Crimson oarsmen will continue to work-out in the ice-bound Newell for another ten days. Harvard will be lucky if it has shells in use two weeks from today, although the Leviathan and a barge or two will probably be on the water next Wednesday. Shells can not be used, even after the ice breaks up, until the floating cakes and debris following the thaw have disappeared.

Coach Whiteside still refuses to pick his first two crews and reasserts that when the Varsity gets off the tank there will be five eights with positions in the first one wide-open.

In the Varsity lightweights the prospects are bright with only two men lost by graduation from the boat which rowed Yale last spring.
