HE WHOSE BOOTS WERE STOLEN

The Harvard Student Council's intelligent resolution supporting the repeal of the Oath Bill, representing the sentiment of the undergraduate body, has been read into the records. Its denial, the voice of those directly affected by the law, that Harvard's faculty has engaged in subversive or inflammatory activity should bear weight in any intelligent consideration of action. The confessed purpose of the sponsors of the bill, 'to get the college professors,' is revealed in all its stupidity when it is proved that college professors, even for their purposes, do not have to be got.

The unfortunate angle of the whole situation is that the students, the only ones directly affected, are considered a negligible quantity in the opposition. The defenders tried to convert only those objectors who control votes. It might be pointed out, without containing the implication of a threat, that the college students of today are those who will be voting next. It is to be hoped that in the settlement of an issue which has assumed such proportions the serious comment of the non-voting but straight thinking students will be treated with the consideration it merits.
