Boxers Will Have Tussle With Pennsylvania

Coach Henry Lamar's Varsity boxing team will have its third test of the season today when it clashes with the University of Pennsylvania at Philadelphia.

Penn has the strongest team it has had in years, according to Coach Lamar, with almost all its lettermen returning. Although the Crimson won a close match over Penn last year, this year's affair will be no setup.

Harvard goes to Philadelphia with a record of four impressive victories behind it, an 8-0 sweep over M.I.T., and a 41/2 to 31/2 win over a very strong Virginia team at Charlottesville. The prospects for the rest of the year are very good, as the Crimson boxers, led by Captain Bill Smith have shown great power so far. Among the outstanding performers this year have been Gordon Robertson, who scored a knockout in the Technology match, and Stuart Finer, in the 115-pound class, who has never been defeated in intercollegiate competition.

On the other hand, Pennsylvania possesses a major threat in Captain Rothschild in the 165-pound class, who has shown himself to be a very dangerous man in competition this year. Penn is also strong in the 115, 145, and 155 pound divisions.

Next Saturday the Coast Guard, having defeated Springfield and Brooklyn College, invades the Indoor Athletic Building with a band of faithful cadet rooters. Princeton will be met here on February 21.
