FLYING CLUB PLANNING FOR MEETS IN SPRING

Members of the Flying Club are preparing for a series of intercollegiate meets in the spring. After a few dual meets to be arranged soon, they will participate in early May in the New England Intercollegiate Meet at Northampton with eight or ten colleges competing, among them Smith. With several followers of Amelia Earhart, Smith is no mean antagonist in the air.

On February 15 and 16 there will be a conference of the New England Intercollegiate Flying Club to decide on the various small meets. Three Harvard fliers, one of them J. Keith Davis, Secretary of the Club, will go to Washington to a meeting of the National Intercollegiate Flying Club at the end of March. On June 17 Harvard will engage in the National Intercollegiate Meet at the Long Island Aviation Country Club.

One Harvard airman has a transport license; about ten have private licenses; two more are amateurs. Only three men of the Class of '39 have joined the Club. Of these one is a pilot.
