In striking contrast to their stand on previous questions, the usually Republican Harvard students overwhelmingly favored concentration of power in the Federal government, according to the results of the recent CRIMSON-Herald-Tribune poll.
Two weeks ago the student body rejected a proposal to amend the Constitution to give the Federal government increased power; but in this week's question, over three-quarters of the 951 votes cast went in favor of the New Deal principle of increased concentration at Washington.
Last week the great majority of the ballots were cast in favor of one of the Republican candidates for the Presidency. All these men have opposed the action of the present administration in the Federal concentration of power. This week there were only 157 state-power advocates, while 59 voters desired a medium course.
