BERNARD FOX CAPTURES TWO SKATING TITLES AT ARENA

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Stealing the spotlight in the National Junior Skating Championships held Friday and Saturday nights in the Boston Arena, M. Bernard Fox '38 annexed the singles titles and combined with Miss Joan Tozzer to win the pair crown by the unanimous decision of the judges.

In the pair competition, the winners nosed out Marjorie Parker and Howard Meredith, who placed third in the Olympic trials.

Fox, who is the protege of Willie Frick, Arena Skating Master, outdistanced his competitors by his jumping and smooth transition of blade edges. It was this, combined with his nice carriage and ice personality which won over the judges in his behalf.
