SNOW COMPELS YARD POLICE TO LEAVE GATE OPEN AFTER 6

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Heeding the complaints of residents in Dunster, Winthrop, and Leverett Houses, the Plympton Street Gate to the Yard is now left open after 6 o'clock.

Formerly the only gate remaining open after that hour was the McKean Gate opposite Holyoke Street. Students living in the three distant Houses had objected to the long walk.

Yard police explained that the gates have just been left open because "the snow makes it difficult to close them."
