Largely because of his popularity in the recent Freshman poll, Mal Hallett has been engaged to play at the next Yardling dance to be held in the large dining hall of the Union March 13, from 8.30 until 1 o'clock.

Recognized as having one of the leading "swing bands" in the country, Hallett and his incomparable music were chosen by a total of 462 votes cast by the Freshmen to show their preference of orchestras in a poll conducted by the Union Committee.

As co-chairmen of the ticket committee, R. Bennet Forbes and J. Spense Harvin have established the prices of admission as $2 per couple and $1.50 stag. Completing the committee in charge of the dance are H. Rushton Harwood, Jr., and Edwin Lichtig, Jr.
